So, what are the minimum coverages for these insurances?
In all contracted healthcare institutions, hospitalization costs are unlimited, and in non-contracted institutions, they are covered up to an annual limit of 50,000 TL with a 20% co-payment from the insured.
Outpatient treatment expenses in all contracted healthcare institutions are covered with an annual limit of 5,000 TL and a 20% co-payment from the insured.
The most important point to note in these policies is the waiting periods.
Waiting Periods: For outpatient treatment coverage, the waiting period is half of the policy term, and for inpatient treatment coverage, it is 9 months.
As of September 1, 2024, Foreign Health Insurance prices have increased by 50% across all companies.
For example, for an individual born in 2000, the legally mandated price across all insurance companies is 2,900 TL.
